(BEIJING, September 17) -- The steel structural trusses of the National Stadium, the main stadium of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, were removed successfully today, two years after the venue's initial construction. Accompanied by BOCOG President Liu Qi (L), U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan (C) and his wife visited the site of the "Bird's Nest" during their trip to Beijing on May 23, 2006.
