Snow Season Starts in Bird’s Nest Amidst Festivity

On 19 December 2009, the dragon and lion dance show in the Bird’s Nest marks the opening of the National Stadium’s snow season operation as a public skiing field. This winter, the Bird’s Nest is transformed into the largest snow sports center in Beijing, covering an area of 57,000 square meters including a main skiing field and a warm-up field. The 2-month Happy Snow Season in the Bird’s Nest that is intended to provide Beijingers and tourists from home and abroad a winter fitness center.

At 11:00 on December 19th, Deputy Mayor Chen Gang issued the snowboard to the lion dancing performers, which marks the opening of Happy Snow Season in the Bird’s Nest.
